School Closings Michigan: Winter Storm Warning

School closings in and around the state of Michigan continue to be of concern to parents and those preparing for the Monday workweek and grind. A very frigid and dangerous winter storm has impacted the entire state of Michigan, bringing wet rain, high winds, and blizzard conditions.

As of 6 p.m. most of the entire state’s listing of schools in all counties (public and private) have cancelled classes through Monday as a result of heavy accumulations of snow, power outages, and dangerous road conditions. Based on the National Weather Service, between 1 and 3 more inches across the entire state will force more school closings in Michigan for the safety of the students and staff. Although the heaviest of precipitation has passed by, the state continues to suffer the aftermath of the build up of powder. On Monday, authorities expect to deal with flood conditions from melting snow.
